The CIV software has been developed by G. Delerce with the support of the RTD European grant HYDRIV (HPRI-CT-1999-50019). Support form the Service Hydrographique de la Marine has been also provided in the frame of a 'Banc d'Essai pour l'Oceanographie Operationnelle'. The CIV software derives from an earlier version developed by A Fincham and J. Spedding. It has been intensively tested during many experiments performed at the Coriolis facility. The Matlab interface has been written by J. Sommeria, with the help of users, to coordinate the effort on data processing.
